Yoshitoku × F:NEX “Japanese Doll Figure” Series Vol. 20: “Ayanami Rei”

From Furyu’s high-quality hobby brand “F:NEX,” “Ayanami Rei” from “EVANGELION” has been transformed into a Japanese doll figure.

Created as a special item to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Evangelion, this figure is the result of a collaboration between the long-established Japanese doll maker “Yoshitoku” and “F:NEX.” “Rei”’s characteristic quiet and dignified presence is brought to life through luxurious craftsmanship using authentic kimono fabric. The color scheme, dominated by blue and silver reminiscent of her plug suit, is accented with touches of red and salmon pink, resulting in a finish that conveys Rei’s signature ethereal quality and the elegant splendor unique to a kimono ensemble.

A special piece celebrating the 30th anniversary of Evangelion. We invite you to welcome this “Ayanami Rei” Japanese doll figure into your collection.

The costume prototype was created by doll artist Ayumi Uyama. Drawing inspiration from the movements of traditional Japanese dance, she has captured each character’s unique personality in the graceful kimono attire characteristic of Japanese dolls.
